Palm Beach Synagogue
Evolving the Legacy of an Iconic Landmark
At the storied corner of Sunset and N. County Rd, a striking Moorish Revival structure once housed a bustling stock brokerage firm withing its arched doorways and ornate detailing. When Rabbi Moshe Scheiner’s synagogue acquired the building, he poignantly declared it “the best trade the brokerage ever made.”
Now, a visionary expansion seeks to transform the adjacent properties into a seamless house of worship, harmonizing the past with the future. A tapestry of Moorish, Gothic Revival, Romanesque, Italian, and Spanish influences will intertwine, their rich histories through intricate stonework, bespoke fountains, stained glass windows, wrought-iron embellishments, and lush tropical landscaping. This thoughtful fusion of design will not only preserve the spirit of the original structure but elevate it into a unified sanctuary of faith, beauty, and purpose.
